How challenging is the trek?
The trek crosses what was once described as the uncrossable desert, covering segments of 20 kilometers a day. The experience is designed for participants with a moderate level of fitness. You should be able to walk a brisk 5 kilometers without being exhausted. The weight limit for a rider is 80kg (176lbs/12Stone&8lbs). While no previous riding experience is required, participants should be comfortable spending several hours outdoors each day in desert and outdoor, camping conditions for 8 days.
What does the package include?
The package covers all essential services such as all ground transportation in Jordan, accommodation (hotel and camping), breakfast and lunch during hotel stays, all meals during the trek, camels, camel rider training, guided camel ride, support team, Bedouin hospitality, and historic guides.
What is not included in the package?
Items of a personal nature, travel insurance, international flights, and any expenses not explicitly mentioned in the itinerary are not included.
What is the cost of the package?
The cost of the trip is $6,000 per week, with a total of $12,000 for the full two-week program.
What is the typical group size and are there minimum/maximum participants?
                    Group sizes are intentionally kept small—usually between 6-12 participants—to preserve the authenticity and personalized nature of the experience and to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for everyone. The trek usually runs with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 12.
What should participants pack for the trek?
                    We will provide you with a recommended personal equipment list which will include comfortable clothing suitable for desert riding and weather. A detailed packing list will be provided upon booking. Any specialist equipment or any equipment that you wish to purchase in Jordan can be pre-ordered or purchased on arrival.
Does the package include entry tickets or permits?
                    Yes, all necessary local entry tickets and permits related to the trek itinerary are included unless stated otherwise.
Do I need prior experience riding camels?
                    No prior experience is required! Our camel trek is designed for everyone, including first-timers. Before the journey begins, our experienced guides provide simple instructions on how to ride and interact with the camels, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. With expert guidance throughout the trek, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a unique adventure.
Can I be or bring a non-riding guest?
                    Yes, provision for additional non-riding guests is possible upon request.
